Summer is now something of the past and it’s officially Autumn. Although the Summer-Autumn transition happened, the weather is still sunny during the day; but early mornings and evenings are chillier.
Nevertheless, a new season calls for a change in habits. I absolutely love Autumn. Probably one of my favorite seasons as the fresh air brushes your skin there is no need to worry about your make up melting. With crisp golden-brown leaves falling from the trees and the crushing sound it makes under your feet. You more prone to stay indoors and snuggle up with a good book. I must admit with slightly colder weather at night, my ability to step outdoors is zilch. Although not yet freezing temperatures, Autumn is the perfect rationale to start having comfort food and warm drinks. One less thing to worry about is regular hair removal from your legs as it will be covered up most of the time.
It is now time to trade your flip-flops, sandals and shorts for warmer cozier clothing best suited for slightly colder weather. Get your autumn wardrobe ready and whip out a scarf, beanie, boots, jumper, knitted jersey or jacket.
Autumn is about wearing earthy tones. Colours include grays, greens, blues, tartans, orange, burgundy and browns. Opt for strong or softer tones that will give you that vibrant and warm look.
About this look
I’m kicking off my Autumn style with a simple street walk style. Now there are times when I love to look sophisticated and then there are times I just want a relaxed no fuss look but still keeping it stylish.
Sleeveless Puffer Jacket
To me a sleeveless puffer jacket is the ultimately piece to add to your jacket credential this Autumn. Perfect to wear in Winter as well. It needs to be lightweight yet have the ability to give you that warmth you need for those colder days. A sleeveless puffer jacket allows for a mix and match wardrobe combination. The one I am wearing comes with a detachable hood. Sleeveless puffer jackets can be purchased from most clothing stores. If you fancy to splurge on this clothing item then Old Khaki, Cotton On, Truworths and GCouture is the place to shop. For a more affordable price range head on over to your local Pick n Pay Clothing or Mr Price stores. You might even find a bargain online.
Jogger
I’m all about being body positive but there is no getting away from the fact that I was blessed with a butt and fat thighs. In all honesty, I prefer wearing pants that is flattering to my lower physique. Other than jeans, joggers has become my all-time favorite casual pants.The ultimate jogger for me must not be too bulky but also not a skinny fit. It must be cotton or fleece, comfortable to wear and move in.
Long sleeve Top
Now if you have your bottoms and sleeveless puffer jacket sorted then you can pretty much wear any long sleeve top underneath. Just make sure that the colour will complement the look you trying to accomplish.
Sneakers
Other than slapping on a pair of loafers or boots, I’m all about wearing sneakers this season. It is the most comfortable footwear apparel especially on those busy Saturday mornings. Sneakers will be big in 2018. For more ideas read these 8 sneaker trends.

Here in Canada we’re in the opposite season. It’s still cold but we’re getting ready to put away our big winter jackets and also move into layers and shoes. I love wearing sneakers as well – they’re the only type of shoe I can really find to fit my wide feet properly!~Jess#StayClassyMama

Here in the UK we are waiting for spring to hit! I love autumn as all the warm tones in nature are so beautiful. I live in jeans for the whole of autumn and winter but have now branched out into jeggings too! Thanks for linking up with #globalblogging
