• My Sunday Photo – Alphen Trail

This week my Sunday photo features the beautiful Alphen Trail.

We spent our Saturday morning walking along the Alphen Trail. Part of Constantia’s green belt, it is one of nine interwoven trails. Out of the nine, the Alphen is the most popular of the trails. Located in the Constantia Valley, it winds along the Diep River to the Constantiaberg Mountains. We started our walk from Alphen Drive but you can also choose to start the walk from Brommersvlei Road. Starting from Alphen Drive, you will notice the Alphen Hotel on your right.

My Sunday Photo – Early Morning Swim

This week, my Sunday photo features an early morning swim at Dalebrook.

With Spring fully here, the weather has been pleasant.  On Saturday, however it was a bit overcast but the temperature was warm. The girls wanted to go for their first Spring dip. They woke up early and we headed off to Dalebrook Tidal Pool.

Situated between St James and Kalk Bay. Lying hidden on the False Bay Coast; beach goers often miss it during off peak seasons. Making it less crowded than the popular St James tidal pool.  However in summer, Dalebrook can get as busy as St James.

My Sunday Photo – Bantry Bay

We spent a lovely Sunday afternoon in this affluent suburb of Bantry Bay. After spending a lovely family lunch at the President Hotel, we took a walk from Bantry Bay to Sea Point.  I was once again reminded how blessed I am to live in such a beautiful city with breathtaking views. Whilst there I captured a few photos of my beautiful surroundings.
