To my girls,
Thank you for coping so well under these circumstances. I kinda think both of you love being at home as you can sleep late, go to bed later and enjoy the advantages of the relaxed house rules.
I know you miss your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. But when you talk to them on the phone or video call them you are so cheerful and optimistic.
Thank you for understanding the importance of keeping your distance and knowing why you can’t go with when dad or I have to go to the shop alone. I know it is hard not to step outside of the gate to ride your bikes, take the dogs for a walk or doing your usual outdoor activities; but I am proud that you have accepted it and know that it is for your own safety.
Thank you for making parenting during this time so easy. Perhaps it’s because you are older and have each other for companionship. You work well as a team to complete your chores on time. You create your own entertainment and even gang up to take the piss out of your parents by pranking them. There has been no bickering and drama and gosh I haven’t yelled at you once in 32 days.
Thank you for doing your school work diligently and being enthusiastic to do your projects. Thank you for teaching me so much about yourselves during this time. Some things I have learned about you that I have never quite noticed before lock down because I was too busy with my own work and interests.
Throughout it all, the two of you have been absolutely amazing in dealing with this crisis.
I am quite fortunate to have you in my life and our time spent together during this time is something I will treasure forever.
Love you both,
This is so sweet and great to hear.

Sounds like you are all managing very well in difficult times, keep it up #globalblogging
I think a lot of parents will treasure this time forever. Glad your girls are doing so well!
I think we can all benefit from spending this time together if we think positive rather than looking at the negative, staysafe#dreamteam@_karendennis
Absolutely lovely. Your children sound delightful and I wish mine were so diligent with their school work right now! It is a big upheaval but the children are coping so well, often better than adults! Thanks for linking up with #dreamteamlinky
This is so beautifully written. I wasn’t expecting to read something so emotional and full of the feels. Your two sound like an absolute credit to you. It’s amazing how the littles have adapted and just got on with life. Definitely a proud mummy moment. Thank you for joining us for the #DreamTeamLinky xx
Absolutely beautiful Noleen. I share your sentiments. I too am deeply impressed by my daughters who are handling the lockdown so well. They never moan or complain and my daughter had her sixth birthday last week which she had to celebrate without family or friends. Again she never once complained. Kids never cease to surprise you do they?! Thank you so much for sharing this lovely tribute on #globalblogging
