Back to School made easy thanks to Uber Eats

My kids headed back to school today after a very long Summer holiday. Keeping in line with the COVID-19 regulations; their 2021 academic year will pretty much start off the same as it ended in 2020. Meaning they will have in-classroom as well as remote teaching on a rotational basis.  Getting back into a routine after not having to worry about packed school lunches for so long; is going to be a bit of a challenge.  With an already busy schedule of my own with back-to-back meetings and the kids having to focus on their schoolwork; time is of the essence and heading out to get a meal or grocery items is not always a possibility. Habit

    Habit

Habit – an acquired behaviour pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntarily

    My word for 2020: HABIT

As 2020 draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the year that was. A difficult year for all of us no matter where you find yourself in the world. For many it has been a year of loss and misery. A chapter that we all wish to close and start anew.

In 2019 I decided to choose a word that would guide me for the year – I opted for LIGHT which spontaneously sprung onto me.  This was something I set out to do every year.  On 1 January 2020 I selected HABIT as my word for the year.  Little did I know how 2020 was going to pan out. View Post

social beings enduring mandatory home confinement

Are we as social beings capable of enduring the mandatory home confinement?

As the world responds to the Corona virus pandemic (COVID-19); governments globally has put strict measures in place. In a few hours South Africa will undergo a mandatory 21 day lock down. A historic moment indeed.  As announced on Monday, 23 March by President Cyril Ramaphosa this lockdown will start at midnight on Thursday, 26 March and end at midnight on Thursday, 16 April 2020. Or so we all hope as government will re-evaluate the situation after 14 days.  View Post
