This past weekend I went shopping with the intention to find the perfect pair of jeans. I knew finding that perfect pair wouldn’t be easy but I also did not expect it to be an unpleasant and tedious task.
To be blunt – it was demoralizing.
Look, I get the whole “our bodies change as we get older” explanation. Damn, I get it clearly as I’m experiencing it.
Life has been a little crazy of late and my husband and I kept on putting time for ourselves on the back burner. Although we had the odd hour or two of alone time; a proper date night was long overdue. With so much tension in our muscles, the complimentary offer from MyMassage came just at the right time. So we ditched the usual dinner and movie date and opted for a couples massage.
This was our first couples massage and Brent was very open to the idea. More so, that he was in desperate need to de-stress. Also trying new things as a couple is a good thing and much needed for our relationship.
Today I was asked if I don’t miss my long hair. Well it’s been 5 years since I cut my hair really short and I have absolutely no regrets.
Will I go back to growing my hair?
Of course, I’ve given it some thought. But all the cons just overshadow the less than handful pros of having long hair. So the answer is clear, I won’t grow my hair long again.

Summer is now something of the past and it’s officially Autumn. Although the Summer-Autumn transition happened, the weather is still sunny during the day; but early mornings and evenings are chillier.
Nevertheless, a new season calls for a change in habits. I absolutely love Autumn. Probably one of my favorite seasons as the fresh air brushes your skin there is no need to worry about your make up melting. With crisp golden-brown leaves falling from the trees and the crushing sound it makes under your feet. You more prone to stay indoors and snuggle up with a good book. I must admit with slightly colder weather at night, my ability to step outdoors is zilch. Although not yet freezing temperatures, Autumn is the perfect rationale to start having comfort food and warm drinks. One less thing to worry about is regular hair removal from your legs as it will be covered up most of the time.
Today as I’ve organised the shoe section of my cupboard, I realised I own way too much shoes. To confess, I have a little shoe fetish. I often find myself purchasing a pair of shoes instead of a clothing item.
But today as I organised my shoes, one type of shoe caught my eye. I’ve looked at those high heels and had a bit of an aha moment.
